Kanon Miyashita

Japanese violinist Kanon Miyashita is the founding first violinist of the Moser String Quartet and a passionate chamber, orchestral, and solo musician. She is currently based in Basel, Switzerland.
Kanon has performed at numerous international venues and has been invited to prestigious chamber music festivals, including the MonteLeón International Chamber Music Festival (Spain), Festival Musikdorf Ernen (Switzerland) and the Trame Sonore Chamber Music Festival (Italy).
Her performances have been featured on Radio France and WQXR radio in New York. As a concert soloist, she has appeared with orchestras in the UK, Israel and Japan.
She completed her Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London, UK) under the guidance of Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky and her Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (London, UK) with Professor Bartosz Woroch. She later pursued a second Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Basel (Switzerland) with Professor Rainer Schmidt. Kanon was also an Akademist with the Sinfonieorchester Basel during the 2022-23 season.
