Élise Hiron
Élise Hiron is an enthusiastic and dynamic musician based in Switzerland.
She has often been invited as principal viola of the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, and plays regularly in the chamber orchestras of Basel, Lausanne and Freiburg, where she holds a tutti position. She performs as a pianist in a duet with cellist Miquel Garcia Ramon, and as a violist in the Wendel Piano Quartet and the Moser String Quartet since 2024.
She has studied at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), the HEMu of Lausanne and Sion, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and is currently pursuing two Master's degrees: a viola MA at the Basel Hochschule, and a chamber duo MA as a pianist in Paris. Her teachers have included Tatjana Masurenko, Silvia Simionescu, Jean Sulem, Jeffrey Irvine, Claire Désert, Anton Kernjak, Rafael Rosenfeld and François Salque.
Elise has been selected to take part in masterclasses such as IMS Prussia Cove, the Zermatt Festival and Academy, the Geneva International String Academy and Mendelssohn On Mull. She plays a 2019 Charles Coquet viola.
